Description: Acid mine drainages (AMDs) on mining sites pose a significant pollution threat to the water environment. Constructed wetland is an ecological water pollution control technique that has the potential to be used on remote mining sites, to protect surface and ground waters from pollution by the AMDs. Although some studies have been carried out on this topic, significant knowledge gaps remain to be addressed with regard to mechanistic modelling of complex heavy metal removal processes. In this project, you are expected to: (a) develop mathematical models to predict the removal of MANGANESE and IRON, in a subsurface flow constructed wetland, and (b) verify the models using data from the literature

Moreover, I have 3 proposed methods for the mathematical equation.

1. precipitation method.

2. Microbial Transformation.

3. plant up-take.

Finally, I have the limitation to provide sufficient materials for this project. This is not purely a report writing, you able to research about this topic. So, I hope that you able access more journals regards with project.

Debug PDE MATLAB code

I am using a MATLAB code to solve for a 1D diffusion problem in packed bed column. The code should solve a system of 14 nonlinear PDE equations. The code gives the error below. I tried to check that my vectors are consistent and could not find a problem. I will appreciate it if someone can debug the code and get it to work.
