We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and smart Senior Accountant to join our team and assist with all aspects of effective internal and external financial reporting, reconciliation, and closing.
You will use your prior Microsoft Business Central (MSBC), Great Plains, or SAP experience, and your previous accounting and financial analysis expertise to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and the adherence of our system to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and IFRS.

POSITION:
The primary role of the Senior Accountant is to perform financial reporting, auditing, reconciliation and closing functions effectively and accurately, and assist Controller with more difficult analyses and variance reporting.
During annual review or audits, the Senior Accountant will prepare the majority of the "PBCs" (prepared by client reports) for Controller review.
On a day-to-day basis, the Staff Accountant prepares and reconciles departmental accounting data, identifies and corrects errors, identifies and computes accruals, applies accounting principles to transactions and recommends revisions in departmental accounting procedures to ensure conformance with applicable statues, laws, and company polices and General Accepted Accounting Principles.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
· Assisting Controller with month end closing.
· Supervising staff accountants in the reconciliation of P&L Statement and Balance Sheet items.
· Overseeing all bank statement and credit card reconciliations.
· Auditing data entry performed by staff and junior accountants.
· Performing special accounting studies and financial analyses as needed.
· Ad hoc accounting and finance projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify for this position, you must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a reputable accredited institution.
An advanced degree, such as an MBA or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance is highly desired.
Additional specific requirements include:
· MUST have 3+ years of stable, progressively responsible staff accounting experience.
· MUST have experience performing month-end closing.
· MUST be experienced and proficient using QuickBooks or MSBC/Great Plains/Dynamics NAV accounting software.
· MUST be exceptionally proficient using MS Office or OpenOffice tools.
