Improvement of a Genetic Algorithm using Python
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
In the first assignment, I need a very skilled Python developer with experience in Artificial Intelligence programming, and especially Genetic Algorithms.Tkinter-skills is a must. It is a plus if You are also a scientist in the field of combinatorics and operational research. You also have good knowledge of programming approximation and optimization algorithms (time complexity). Knowledge of mathematical modeling and CPLEX is also a plus, but not required for this task.
The first assignment has to be done within next week (so it is important that You can be dedicated), and I need minimum daily updates (or more) of the code progress, so I can correct/change anything that is required. We have an educational Python app for educational purposes I would like to improve. On your own cost of time, You have to understand how this application work, before You can say if You are able to do this work or not. It is a location facility app with published research.
The GA implemented is a standard GA, and I would like to improve it with a local search replacement of the mutation. It would also be nice to see other kind of improvements we can do, e.g. how the population should be updated.
The second assignment would be to improve the GUI (Tkinter) interface.
If we have a good cooperation, trust each others, there will be future new assignments in the same area of research.
