Searching for my Great-Grandmother in the "Milford Daily News"
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm trying to find a Milford Daily News newspaper article, "Grocery Ladies Shop Together for 25 Years." The article features my great grandmother. I have an old clipping, but whoever cut out the clipping years ago didn't realize the article continued onto another page, and the part where my great-grandma gets interviewed is cut-off. A few Summers ago I spent an entire day at the Milford Library going through their microfilm archive of The Milford Daily News. There are a few clues in the clipping I have: my great-grandmother and her friends gave their ages. I used that to narrow down a window of issues to search, using the Lottery Numbers that day to quick-check through many papers. Try as I might, I failed to find the article. (Lying about her age is something she would totally do:). I have yet to exhaust my options of online sources, but online newspaper archives cost money to subscribe to so I haven't tried that yet. I'm curious if anyone out there has a better idea based on the info my clipping contains.
